Advanced switching and production capabilities enhance offerings for remote production and live events.
In March of 2022, GlobeStream Media expanded its remote production capabilities with the addition of Panasonic's Kairos IT/IP platform as the core of our new state-of-the-art REMI control room just outside of Dallas, Texas.
Built from the ground up for IP-based live production, the Kairos platform integrates IP video protocols such as SMPTE 2110, NDI, and SRT, enabling more efficient, flexible, and cost effective productions. To date, GlobeStream Media has leveraged this capability to provide remote production services for a variety of sporting events and conferences, including the US Women's National Softball Team, USA Softball's 16u and 18u Gold National Championships, the Women's National Football Conference, Offense-Defense All-American Bowl Football Tournaments, and Archbishop Mitty High School Football games, just to name a few.
In addition. GlobeStream has also leveraged the advanced capabilities of Kairos for a range of corporate productions, including fully virtual events and meetings as well as large-venue live events. Kairos' source substitution capabilities make it easy and cost effective for a single technical director to live switch shows integrating multi-language graphics and video while the platform's canvas feature allows for resolution independent, multi-screen video output at resolutions up to 15,360 pixels by 2,160 pixels (8k). To date, GlobeStream Media has leveraged these capabilities, working with clients to deliver English / Spanish language live productions as well as multi-projector video walls for impressive and engaging in person events.
